Our Presentation:
Summary:
In our latest project, we were given the task of creating alternative energy source to be used in future hybrid cars for the car company, Hyundai. Our vehicle needed to be able to carry 100 pennies a length of five meters. In addition, we were to create a presentation to show potential buyers using performance graphs.
We tried many different car designs. We first started off with a design of using proplers to make the car go. Then being unsuccesful, we decied to use a different approch that uses a wind-up car's body and wheels. While not on a large enough scale, we decided on a simple design. Our car was made out of plywood, 4 CDs, PVC pipe, wooden rods, and rubber bands. Though the car never went five meters, it still went 3 meters at a maximum. Though from there it went nly 1.67 meters due to increase in friction.

Content:
Spring Potential Energy:energy due to compression or expansion of an elastic material (PE=1/2kx^2). The PE in our graph was calculated using the distance the rubberbands stretched and the spring constant over time.
Kenetic Energy:energy due to movement/motion (KE=1/2mv^2). We used a video we took of our car moving to find the velocity over time and used the mass of our car to find the kinetic energy.
Spring Constant:measure of elasticity of the spring (F=kx).
Velocity: the speed of any given object in a certain direction (V=d/t)
Total Energy:the ability to do work. In our presentation, we created graphs that modeled the thermal, potential, kinetic, and total energy of our car over time.

Reflection:
Even though we were not close to the goal of making the car go a distance of 5 meters, we tried to make things work the entire time.
Though for the most part we worked well together when contributing ideas and collecting data. For example when first collabrating we all contributed equal ideas. Also when it came time to test our car we all used our time well and we got that protion of the project done reasonably fast.
Though some good times, like most groups struggled with time management the entireway through. We would struggle with agreeing upon things as well. Multiple times I was talking with my friends instead of working on the car. I take full responsiblity for this and will learn from my mistakes on the next project. Another thing that went wrong was we had a bad time comunicating. When some people would make a desicion it would take a while to be communicated to other members of the group.
